The Wild Atlantic Way - Malin Head

Malin Head is located along the starting point of the Wild Atlantic Way and is a signature stop on the route so worth a visit. Famous for its rugged landscape and maritime history. Banba’s crown is the highest elevated point, named after the mystic queen Banba.

Dolphins live in the waters of Malin Head in their pods and a boat trip around the coast means you might get to meet them up close.

Star Wars Film Location

Did you know in 2016 Malin Head was chosen as the location for a Star Wars movie – The Last Jedi. The locals were very excited to welcome actors such as Mark Hamill into their village.

The dramatic landscape was transformed into a fictional planet, where Luke Skywalker was living in excile. The film out Malin Head on the map for Star Wars fans around the world. It has also been the location for other movies including Shine of Rainbows with Aidan Quinn.
